Benjamin Gilbert, RPT, MBA

Benjamin Gilbert, one of the two founding members of Hygeia Home health oversees the Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy services provided by Hygeia Home Health and is definitively a hands on manager, with significant time spent each week performing direct patient care.

Benjamin received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature at Emory College, Atlanta, GA in 1991, and continued his studies at Simmons College, Boston, MA, graduating in 1996 with a Master’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.

Since graduating Benjamin has worked in Outpatient, Skilled Nursing and Home Care settings. Through the years, Benjamin developed his professional trademark of customizing care to the client’s pathology, solving problems creatively, and demonstrating the tenacious work ethic necessary to comprehensively complete the job. He committed himself to providing premium levels of care by researching pathologies and keeping up with the times in regards to new treatments and methodology.

After the year 2000, Benjamin began to conceive the possibility of starting his own business but lacked the background to effectively proceed. To achieve his goal, Benjamin continued his studies and in 2004, graduated with an MBA from the University of South Florida with a concentration in Marketing.

Today, utilizing his academic background with his diversified work experience in the many facets of physical therapy, Benjamin has achieved his dream. He is one of the founding members of Hygeia Home Health, LLC. And as one might expect, a home health agency founded with one and only one distinctive mission: to always provide the best possible home health care to patients…and nothing less.

Csilla Farkas, RN, BSN

Csilla Farkas, the other founding member of Hygeia Home Health, LLC served as the Administrator until 06/2010 and was responsible for the day to day operation of the Agency. At present, she is the Alternate Administrator. Csilla has accumulated a wealth of clinical experience in skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice environments.

Csilla began her nursing career working as a nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility while enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program at St. Petersburg Junior College. As an attribute to her dedication, she was one of a few RN students to pass the licensed practical nursing state exam and was able to work as an LPN until graduating from the SPJC Registered Nursing Program with an Associates in Nursing degree in 1995. Csilla continued her nursing studies receiving her BS from the University of South Florida’s Nursing Program in 2000 with Magna Cum Laude honors, and she is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Nursing Honor Society.

Csilla states that both Hospice and Home Health rewarded her with the enriching experience of caring for patients one at a time where she could focus intensively on providing premium care to individuals.

She believes that “quality care is a matter of personal commitment that a clinicians’ owned organization cultivates naturally.”
